Earning the BIZ degree involves four days of core competence of business management classes and the submission of a detailed business plan for a photographic studio.

PPI is the first and only state offering a business program such as this.

Iowa photographer Aletha Speaker, also a 2012 BIZ degree recipient, is responsible for getting this business program into action. The program has also been supported by four sponsors: American Color Imaging, Christian Photo, Colormaster Inc., and JB Frames & Design.

This is one of those great imags that the background color can be changed to coordinate with a theme or decor. For this one, I just matched the stripe on the butterfly wing. This would be a nice kitchen image, or little girl’s room!

The Rainbow Eucalyptus tree in Hawaii was certainly a surprise to an Iowan.

My first grape harvest is also the beginning of a vineyard series of photographic art images. Enjoying the outdoors, cutting grapes, and photographing on my back deck was a perfect morning.

If only this was a scratch and sniff! The aroma from these wine grapes (concord I think) was so amazing I wish I could share that with you too.
